How do I run benchmarks on Unreal Tournament 2003?

Find your Unreal Tournament 2003 application. Right click (control-click) on the Unreal Tournament 2003 application and select "Show Package Contents". This will open another finder window. Now locate the Benchmark folder. Do not open it yet.

Unreal Tournament 2003 benchmarks are run from the Terminal application. You can find the Terminal in your Applications/Utilities folder.

Double click the Terminal application. A window with text along the lines of Last login:... and Welcome to Darwin should be in the Terminal window. Within the terminal window type cd. Now click and drag the Benchmark folder from the Unreal Tournament 2003 application bundle to the terminal window and let go of the mouse button.

Make sure the Terminal is the front window and hit return. To view the files that are in the Benchmark folder while in the terminal type ls and hit return. If all has gone well you will see a list of files, many ending in .sh extension. These are the benchmark scripts.

To run a script just type ./scriptname and return. Example:
./flyby-asbestos.sh

When you hit return Unreal Tournament 2003 will launch and execute the benchmark script. Results are stored the user/Library/Application Support/Unreal Tournament 2003/Benchmark folder. Benchmark uses the users settings from within the game interface. If you have max detail the script will be using max detail. Same with screen resolution, sound setting, etc.

The numbers of the results are Lowest fps/Average fps/Highest fps during the benchmark.
